Stitch is a modular cabinet that takes its name from the special way the handles are fixed: they are stitched to the wooden panels. With these leather handles the cabinet instantly plays with expectations. The leather feels unexpectedly hard; it is stiff German sole leather, tanned in oak bark and water. This makes the handles almost as hard as wood; they are anything but smooth and flexible.
The handles are provided with laser-cut holes and stitched onto the wooden panels using traditional shoemaker methods. The cabinet itself is made from separate parts: closed elements, with drawers or doors and open steel frames, inlaid with teak panels. The design thus offers maximum storage space without a massive feel to it. It can also be tailored to meet individual wishes and specific spaces.
